His school told him, “No, you cannot wear that T-shirt.” He sued. The court granted this kid $20,000 as a settlement and allowed him to wear his stupid T-shirt to school.

Was Jesus a homophobe? First, what is a homophobe? It is a combination of two Greek words: homo- same, or same sex; phobia – fear of. Was Jesus afraid of people who practiced the perverted actions of homosexuals? Of course not. He wasn’t afraid of anyone. He loved everyone and was not afraid of homosexuals. So, to this point the kid in the picture is correct.

But the kid’s stupid T-shirt implies that Jesus condoned or even approved of homosexuality. In this the kid is very wrong. Jesus loved people but he despised sin and sinful conduct – and would not back away from any argument or statement regarding sin. He knew how to differentiate between sin and the sinner. Even at the disapproving gasp of the religious minded Jews, Jesus spent a lot of time with sinners but not to condone their activities, but rather to seek and save those who were lost (Luke 19:7-10).

Scripture is as clear about the sin of homosexuality from cover to cover. For one example Romans 1:25-27 says, “Because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error.

What people do on their own time in their own private lives is not my business. But when such conduct is flaunted and accepted as normal, then it is my business and should be the business of a moral society. Not only do homosexual men and women flaunt their newly “acceptable” lifestyle today, but the courts are defending it and making it a crime to say anything to the contrary. They are also demanding special rights.

Our country is going off the deep end. Acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle has always been a sign of a culture’s decline. Hang on America. Watch out Christians. We will not be looked on favorably. Anything we say will be considered “Hate Speech” and we’ll be persecuted, prosecuted and ostracized due to our moral stands.

Steve, what examples are there of the acceptance of homosexual life style being a decline in cultures? I have heard that a lot, but no examples. I have heard of the Law of Conubium that was an arrangement between two individuals that was a factor in bringing down Rome. Have you heard of that? Thanks for all the work you do!

STEVE RAY HERE: I WILL RESPOND TO ROD’S POST BELOW SOON.

    Steve,
Your posting is remarkable ! It is remarkable that, despite your attempts at convincing yourself that Jesus did not accept homosexuality, you were unable to come up with a single reference in the Gospels in support of your statement. No where in the Gospels, which is the only first hand, direct account we have of Jesus’ message to us, does Jesus make any comment in support of what you are advancing (either against homosexuals or in support of the “hate the sin not the sinner” approach). In fact, Jesus’s message is at the other end of the spectrum. He talks of love, tolerance and acceptance.

How people interpret the bible on their own time in their own private lives is not my business. But when such ignorance of the scriptures is flaunted ….

Look into your heart, my friend, when judging your fellow neighbors … Then, when you’re certain of what you’ve done, what you’ve thought and where’s you’ve been: go ahead, cast the first stone.

Good luck with your search for truth and love.

    Rod.

Its not a choice -accept your fellow citizens. They are good people who only want to live their lives in peace. They do not demand “special rights”- they demand to be treated equally.
SO the question remains- why are you so angry over a “stupid tshirt”?

STEVE RAY HERE: NOT ANGRY, JUST DISGUSTED. IT IS NOT A CHOICE TO BE AN ALCOHOLIC OR DIABETIC EITHER, BUT WE DON’T ACCEPT THOSE CONDITIONS, RATHER WE TRY TO CURE THEM. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SOMEONE SAYS THEY ARE INCESTUOUS OR POLYGAMOUS, ATTRACTED TO SEX WITH ANIMALS OR GENETICALLY WIRED FOR OTHER “DEVIATIONS.” DO WE ACCEPT ANYTHING THAT ANYONE WANTS TO DO BECAUSE THEY ARE OUR FELLOW CITIZENS?
