Day 9, Last Day: Free Morning, Shroud Exhibit, Visitation & more

Because the planes left in the evening instead of the morning, the group had a free extra day! So we gave them the morning free to explore Jerusalem, walk around, nap, pack, pray or whatever they wanted.

We also arranged a Shroud of Turin Exhibit tour with Fr. Kelly, Mass at Ein Kerem where the Visitation took place and more. It was a great day with perfect weather.

It is always sad to say Good-bye, but it has to come to an end eventually. It was a perfect pilgrimage with great weather, no illness or injury, and everyone got along great and left with many hugs and embraces. Everyone had a GREAT time.

On pilgrimage I always offer any runners a chance to run with me around the walls of the Old City. Today I just had one runner with me, but we had a good run. You will see a bit of it here.

Join us on a future trip — like the trip to Rome on April 28 for the Beatification of John Paul II, or a great weather trip to Israel in April, or a trip to the Holy Land with Scott Hahn in May or for those locked into the school year, a trip to the Holy Land in June. Also Poland in September and many more. See our Pilgrimage Schedule.

    Hi Steve,

Loved taking this pilgrimage with you and the group from St. Andrew’s parish via the internet. One suggestion, turn down the volume of the music — in most instances it drowns out the person speaking making it very difficult if not impossible to hear your explanation of an event.

    Safe travels,

    Steve and Janet,

Just wanted to thank you again for the trip of a lifetime! It was good to get home to John and the boys and they all enjoyed seeing all of the places John had been! In the hustle and bustle of arriving in Detroit, I missed the opportunity to thank Olivia for everything she did for our group. She was fabulous and a real treat to get to know. Please let her know for me how much we appreciated everything she did for us! Thanks again for everything.

    Lisa Juriga
