A great day in Bethlehem starting with shopping at one of the most beautiful Christian shops in the city. Lots of fun! Then to the Church of Nativity to touch the birthplace of Christ. Very emotional!

Have you ever eaten a falafel or Shwarma? That was our next stop. Very tasty! And we even got Fr. Sean and Sister Jean making falafel’s. From there we drove down into the valley of death from Psalm 23 and then to Mass in the cave where the shepherds were on the first Christmas Eve. Fr. Sean’s marvelous homily is here.

A short walk away and we came to the Grotto Restaurant owned by Christians where we had a marvelous Passover lamb dinner with a mountain of Palestinian rice. Then the Christian dancers came out in traditional costume and put on a show for us and then we all jumped up and danced with them. What fun!
