The circumference of the earth is 24,901 miles. If you fly all the way around the earth 80 times you have 2 million miles.

Delta Airlines just wrote to me and told me I have done just that. Yikes! That is a lot of miles and a lot of time on a plane. My good wife is only a few miles behind me.

If I ever get loopy or lose my mind I will attribute it to all that time squeezed in little seats eating really unsavory food. But I understand that they cannot serve gourmet food.

Even with this many miles, I have no complaints with Delta. They are an exceptional company and have always taken great care of us. The problems can be counted on the fingers of one hand and they always make it right in the end.

It is estimated that St. Paul traveled in excess of 6,000 miles but he did it on crude wooden ships and on foot. Kudos to him!!

Well, we leave for Israel again at Christmas with two buses full of excited Catholic families so I now begin working toward the next milestone of 3 million miles.

At roughly 200,000 miles a year I should reach the next milestone in six years!
