Garden of Gethsemane
This pilgrimage is open to everyone, but we are giving a special invitation to Deacons and their wives to join this trip. The pilgrimage will give special emphasis to the ministry of a deacon, with the expertise of Deacon Dominick Pastore and his wife, Teresa Tomeo, and give an opportunity for deacons to see the Gospel in full color, learn, pray and go home enriched, with their ministry enhanced. We will also have a Mass that we do not include on other trips — the place of St. Stephen’s Martyrdom at the Church of St. Stephen in Jerusalem.

Make the Bible come alive by visiting Amman, Petra, the Roman city of Jerash, the Jordan Valley and more, to see Old and New Testament landmarks, such as the Jabbok River where Jacob wrestled with the angel, Machaerus where John the Baptist was beheaded, and Mar Elias (Tishbe), the Prophet Elijah’s hometown. You will even see Bethany-Beyond-the-Jordan where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. You will then travel into Israel to meet the main pilgrimage group.
