11. In the Bible it talks about spiritual gifts. Why is it that the Catholic Church does not talk about spiritual gifts and that people like me have to go outside the Catholic Church to charismatic groups to learn about and practice them?

Concerning the Catholic Church with the seemingly overabundance of Marian images and none of Jesus, I wonder if the Church had a crucifix at all.
STEVE RAY HERE: I have not been in that particular church but it is my understanding that all Catholic Churches have crucifixes. They also have Stations of the Cross with images of Jesus carrying his cross and being crucified. Churches that are dedicated to Mary have images to correspond. Other saints are multiplied in churches dedicated to them.
In the General Instruction of the Roman Missal it states: “308. Likewise, either on the altar or near it, there is to be a cross, with the figure of Christ crucified upon it, a cross clearly visible to the assembled people. It is desirable that such a cross should remain near the altar even outside of liturgical celebrations, so as to call to mind for the faithful the saving Passion of the Lord.”
