Today my wife and I traveled through the Palestinian West Bank discovering the birthplace and the tomb of the Prophet Elisha.

We are scouting and preparing for our next Footprints of God DVD on Elijah-Elisha. Hope you enjoy the video of our adventures today.

Do you remember the story in 2 Kings 13:21 where a dead man was thrown into a shallow grave and his body touch the bones of the light show the prophet? As soon as the corpse touched the bones it came back to life. Elisha did miracles during his life and even in his death (Sirach 48:13-14).

We found the tomb in Sebaste Samaria that was even mentioned by Saint Jerome in the late 300s. Miracles took place here according to his account. Eventually the bones were moved to Alexandria Egypt and then out to St. Macarius Monastery.

Tomorrow morning we leave for Egypt to discover the final resting place of the bones of John the Baptist and Elisha. I  will post a video of that too so you can join and share our adventures.

I just love being the Catholic adventurer, the Indiana Jones of the Catholic Church and the Crocodile Hunter for the Faith 🙂
