Don't Miss Your Chance to Be at a National Premiere for

THE PASSION OF BERNADETTE!

Ignatius Press is hosting an unprecedented nationwide premiere of a film on the inspiring life and death of St. Bernadette Soubirous, The Passion of Bernadette. Ignatius is working together with some 65 Catholic parishes, schools and universities across the country to host this first time ever "National Premiere" of a film in such a Catholic setting, on the upcoming weekend of the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, Feb. 11.

This film is the sequel to the highly acclaimed, best selling film, Bernadette, which tells the historically accurate story of the famous apparitions of Our Lady of Lourdes to Bernadette in 1858. The sequel film, The Passion of Bernadette, tells the rest of St. Bernadette's story, after the apparitions, her life in the convent – the life that made her a saint. It is a powerful story and testimony of how this humble, charitable young woman achieved sainthood in the everyday details of life, and how she offered her many sufferings to God for her sanctity and the benefit of others.

Actress Sydney Penny (just featured in the lead role of the Hallmark original movie, Hidden Places) stars again as Bernadette in this sequel film, directed by the legendary French director, Jean Delannoy. Both have teamed up a second time to present a wonderfully moving portrait of one of the most popular saints in the Church. Ignatius Press hopes you will help us spread the word to your friends around the country about these many locations for the National Premiere this weekend, and that you might be able to come to an event near you.
