Everyone considers this “the fun day“. After breakfast, we drive to the Notre Dame Center for Mass.
Then it’s down 4250 feet from the top of Jerusalem to the Jordan River which is the lowest place on the face of the earth where John the Baptist was baptizing. We renewed our baptismal vows and prayed the 1st Luminous Mystery.
Floating in the Dead Sea and riding camels was an a blast, especially the kids! Jericho for lunch, viewing a sycamore tree, a drive-by of Qumran with discussion.
And back up to the Jerusalem Museum, where we saw the 2nd Temple Model and Amer’s excellent description of Jerusalem at the time of Christ, and then we entered the Shrine of the Book to see the Dead Sea Scrolls.
