I agree with Hirsi Ali that Islam is not a religion of peace. All one has to do is read the Qur’an to understand this clearly. And Muhammad is exalted as the exemplary man to follow, not Jesus. What was Muhammad like? He was a war lord, a thief, a liar, a narcissist, a pedophile, a participant in and facilitator of sex slavery. I can go on. So, if he is the example to follow, is it any wonder we have Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, Fatah, Hezbollah, boko-haram, al-Qaeda, Isis? Not in the least. Contrary to western facilitators of Islam, including Pope Francis – wake up, Catholics – these terrorist groups are not an aberration of Islam, but its purest representatives.
As a result, I completely disagree with Ali’s claim that Islam can be reformed. It cannot be reformed. It would be like claiming you can have a kinder, gentler, Communism or Nazism. Or Christianity without Jesus. The ideology cannot allow it.
Nor should we seek to transform Islam. What we should do is expose Islam for what it is, a vile, totalitarian, political and militaristic ideology that masquerades as a religion in seeking to submit all individuals to its supremacy. It is completely incompatible with the Constitution of the United States and seeks to use the freedom provided by the Constitution and the Judeo-Christian heritage to enslave us all.
And more importantly we need to challenge Muslims with the Gospel, that they may hear the truth, and some turn, repent and Jesus heal them.
So I regard Ali as ultimately very naive regarding Islam. One more point: Ali is not a Muslim, as your description of the video suggests. She became an atheist. So much for wisdom on her part.
But let me challenge you with this. Perhaps she is now an atheist only because all she’s met throughout her life are weak Christians that stand for nothing other than having a good time, and certainly couldn’t ever muster the strength of character to stand against Islam and be true disciples of Christ Jesus.

About ’95 =/- a year. I was driving to work at a Marine Corps Air Station, now closed, listening to a Christian radio station. I knew virtually nothing about Islam, The narrator read something from the Quran which at first I was skeptical about. I drove immediately to the base library and checked out a Quran. Below is what the narrator read and I confirmed for myself.. This instantly convinced me that the Quran and Islam is not from God.

Qur’an 18:83-86—And they ask you about Dhul-Qarnain. Say: “I shall recite to you something of his story.” Verily, We established him in the earth, and We gave him the means of everything. So he followed a way. Until, when he reached the setting place of the sun, he found it setting in a spring of black muddy (or hot) water. And he found near it a people.
