At around 2 PM today the news services, based on reports from Italy, declared the Pope dead and I responded by putting it up on this blog. Moments later they recanted and said his brain and vital organs were still working. I quickly updated the blog. It seems only the doctors at his bedside know exactly what is going on. I will announce more as it happens. May God bless our Holy Father and the Church!
