Natural Immunity and Covid-19: Twenty-Nine Scientific Studies to Share with Employers, Health Officials, and Politicians

“From the beginning of the March 2020 lockdowns for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the subject of natural immunity (also called post-infection immunity) has been neglected. Once the vaccination became widely available, what began with near silence at the beginning turned nearly into a complete blackout of the topic.

“Even now, there is an absence of open discussion, presumably in the interests of promoting universal vaccination and required documentation of such vaccination as a condition of participating in public life and even the jobs marketplace. Still, the science exists. Many studies exist. Their authors deserve credit, recognition, and to have their voices heard.

“These studies demonstrate what was and is already known: natural immunity for a SARS-type virus is robust, long-lasting, and broadly effective even in the case of mutations, generally more so than vaccines. In fact, a major contribution of 20th-century science has been to expand upon and further elucidate this principle that has been known since the ancient world. Every expert presumably knew this long before the current debates. The effort to pretend otherwise is a scientific scandal of the highest order, especially because the continued neglect of the topic is affecting the rights and freedoms of billions of people.

“People who have contracted the virus and recovered deserve recognition. For that matter, people who prefer an exposure risk to the virus in order to gain robust immunity deserve the freedom to make that choice. The realization that natural immunity – which pertains now to perhaps half of the US population and billions around the world – is effective in providing protection should have a dramatic effect on vaccine mandates.

“Individuals whose livelihoods and liberties are being deprecated and deleted need access to the scientific literature as it pertains to this virus. They should send a link to this page far and wide. The scientists have not been silent; they just haven’t received the public attention they deserve. The preparation of this list was assisted by links provided by Paul Elias Alexander and Rational Ground’s own cheat sheet on natural immunity, which also includes links to popular articles on the topic. …”

Following this introductions are the synopsis paragraphs and links to the 29 studies.

Still the vaccine is effective and does not have any significant side effects. Maybe it is like having a gun on your hip but another strapped to your leg. My wife Judy and I have both had three shots. We are enjoying a Covid free lifestyle with no precautions. Just cannot get my logical mind around the non-vacciners.

STEVE RAY HERE: I always appreciate your comments and thoughts Tom. I’m glad you were able to get the shots and you feel comfortable and able to live a normal life again. I feel the same way having had Covid and having natural immunity.

However, there are a lot of reasons that people are refusing to get the vaccine. First of all there’s a lot of stories and documentation of severe medical problems caused by the vaccine. The documentation and platitude of serious side effects and deaths has been kept out of the media, just like much else that goes contrary to the Left’s agenda. Others reject it because of its ties in one way or another to fetal cells. Others, and I certainly fall into this category, don’t like the government forcing me to do anything even against conscience, which always makes me suspicious.

But I think both of us would agree that it should be voluntary and not mandatory. It’s the mandating being forced on people — they’re fired from their jobs, etc. — that I disagree with mostly.

God bless you my friend! Enjoy your new found freedom and we will see you in Florida in a couple weeks.

We will talk in Florida! I cannot wait for my 13th pilgrimage in St Augustine! I know us Catholics do not believe in superstitious things but, my 13th pilgrimage was to be the St. Paul cruise, cancelled twice. Maybe I was the problem!

Dec 8 vaccine mandate deadline or get terminated also the day of the Immaculate Conception of The Blessed Virgin Mary and the Patronal Feastday of the USA.
I still hope that my religious exemption request gets approved

I have had Covid 2 times. I recovered. The Brownstone Institute is not really experts on viruses. Even the cold virus does not have herd immunity for very long. We need to be vaccinated to keep this virus down and minimal. As a respiratory therapist that worked with SARS for years, I will always push for the vaccine. Was there natural immunity to polio, small pox, TB, tetanus, AIDS, some flus? My response is brief but I realize that some folks should stay in their lanes, such as the millionaire paid opinionated talk show hosts on the two drama spin doctoring top news channels. Even the brownstone institute does not say what they are about on their website. Steve honestly, you are a defender of our faith, please be careful writing about something that is not your expertise.

    STEVE RAY HERE:
Sorry you had covid twice, but even you must admit that is rare. Natural immunity from all that I read is superior. The vaccines are still experimental and have caused a lot of problems for people, many worse problems than the virus itself. I too have had covid and I got the vaccines so I could lead pilgrimages to other countries – and only for that reason.

Yes, I am a defender of the Catholic faith, but also of reason and proper choices in the real world which God made. There are many, many folks who support and many many folks who oppose the virus for many many reasons. One cannot expect people like me to be silent with my opinion which I base on many many sources.

Thanks for writing, and for your opinion and may Our Lord and Lady bless you this Christmas season and may we all have a better 2022.
