The bus is gone. We have two full days in this lovely town of Lourdes at the foot of the Pyrénées Mountains in France. Full morning with free afternoon and evening.
After a luscious breakfast at our quaint Grand Moderne Hotel we walked to Mass at the Cosmos and Damian Chapel in the Holy Rosary Basilica. Since it was the Feast Day of the Birth of the Virgin Mary, I gave an impromptu 6-minute talk about her nativity after Mass. The whole video is provided below.

Then we put on our walking shoes and took a tour of the life of St. Bernadette, including the Boly Mill for her happy early early life, to the Cachet where all six of the family were crammed into one room after her father lost his job. We visited their parish church where Bernadette was baptized and all of the other locations related to her life.
The rest of the day was free for people to enjoy all of the many activities and sites in Lourdes, including prayer, confession, visiting the churches and chapels, and walking the magnificent life-sized Stations of the Cross. At 5 PM many of us attended adoration in the underground church that holds 25,000 people. The organ and music was excellent. At 9 o’clock many of us went to the candlelight procession with our Lady of Lourdes. and the candlelight procession at 9 PM.
