Good-bye to Fatima as we head north to the Carmelite Convent in Coimbra where Sister Licia of Fatima spent her last 50 years. We had Mass in their chapel (homily here).
Then to Bon Jesus which is one of the most beautiful shrines with lush manicured gardens of flowers and plants on a mountain side. Inside the magnificent church is a life-size, full scene of the crucifixion which is stunning.
From there we drove through the mountains and the beautiful landscape, crossed into Spain and arrived at Santiago de Compostela for dinner and to spend the night.
