First day of our September pilgrimage is off to a great start. Everyone arrived in good shape and we are now in Tiberias.
We just had a wonderful Mass in a 1000 year old Crusader church and a great dinner. Some people went swimming in the Sea of Galilee and others are now in bed awaiting our second day in the Holy Land.

Kendall, we are so happy that you have this opportunity to walk in the land where Jesus walked. May the Lord continue His blessings on you and your fellow pilgrims along with Steve and Janet. Love following along…one of the highlights of my life was visiting the Holy Land with you guys last year!
I enjoyed the “Day 1” video. Opening up the segment with a mouse afoot at the airport might not encourage a sellout for your next pilgrimage, but I’m sure they aren’t as common in the hotels. We’re praying for all of you back here in God’s country (that’s Iowa, of course) and look forward to joining you via video tour on day 2. Tell Christine I received her blessing here today when I came home from work to find our tiny dead rose bush out back in full bloom. Meanwhile, the grass is turning brown due to heat, humidity and lack of water!

Hi Kim and Danielle! I finally got on here to look at the videos. I love the Sea of Galilee images and that’s an amazing hotel. My first pilgrimage in 2000 booked a hotel with a view of the sea but not water front. The second pilgrimage with Franciscan stays in Nazareth across from the Church of the Anunciation. Different flavors of Israel from different pilgrimages. There’s nothing like experiencing the Holy Land for the first time. God bless you and your group.
