ACLU sues US government over grants to bishops to help human trafficking victims

The American Civil Liberties Union filed suit yesterday against the federal government over grants made by the Department of Health and Human Services to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. When the USCCB applied for the grants to assist the victims of human trafficking, it stated that it would not subcontract with agencies that offer abortion or contraception. The ACLU alleges that the arrangement is an unconstitutional.
