We began our day at Mass in the church above the house where Peter and Jesus lived in Capernaum. I gave my talk. “Defending the Eucharist“ at the very place where Jesus said “Eat My Flesh, Drink My Blood!“ Visited the ancient synagogue.
Then to two sites on the shore of Galilee. I gave my talk on John 21 at the Primacy of Peter – Mensa Christi. We touched the rock where Jesus fed the disciples early in the morning, and everyone walked along the edge of the sea. Then to the Multiplication of Loaves which is called Tabgha.
Then the hour drive up into the Golan Heights. Fr. Gregory Plow told his vocation story. We ate lunch at the Druze restaurant and most everyone had Druze Bread Sandwiches.
Then to Caesarea Philippi, which is called Banias today, where Jesus said to Peter “ You Are Peter And on This Rock I’ll Build My Church.“ I gave my talk “Peter, the Rock, the Keys and the Chair.“
We drove back down to the Sea for 2.5 hours free time to enjoy the Sea and rest before dinner and bed at Nof Ginosar Kibbutz.
