Today we spent the whole day in Bethlehem. We did some shopping to support the local Christians (you have to see the store to believe it), and then we went to the Church of the Nativity to touch the birthplace of our Lord Jesus.

Then we ate Schwarma and falafels before going for Mass in a cave where the shepherds heard the proclamation of the angels on the first Christmas Eve. Fr. Gavin’s excellent homily is here.

I gave my talk “Story of Salvation History“ looking out over the city of Jerusalem from a higher vantage point.

We ended the day in a “Bedouin tent“ restaurant where we ate a whole roasted lamb and everybody DANCED. This is in the second video for today. Don’t quit watching until you see all of our group dancing out on the dance floor. Fr. Gavin won the award for the best dancer of the evening! It was really a lot of fun!
