Early morning for the long drive to Chartres for our Sunday morning Mass at Chartres Cathedral. Fr. James concelebrated a public Mass with all the locals. Lots of young people!

After Mass we were honored to have a celebrity and the primo expert on the Cathedral. Many of us bought his definitive and encyclopedic book. Malcom Miller spent time explaining the stained glass windows and how the Old Testament and the New Testament work together and how they stained glass windows are a whole Bible study and story of salvation and all of creation and redemption. It was magnificent!

19,000 young French pilgrims arrived for Mass last summer. The elegant architectural achievement is a symbol of Catholicism and French history.

After lunch at the many incredible French restaurants, we drove to Paris for a panoramic tour of the city for a first look at most of the capital city’s monuments. Arrived at our Mercure Paris Eiffel Tower Hotel for dinner and bed.
