What the Bible Really Says on Homosexuality in 5 Quotes
If you defend true marriage, you’ve probably heard the following fallacy: “Jesus only talked about love. The Bible doesn’t condemn homosexuality.” Sadly, even voices within the Church try to reinterpret or silence the truth contained in the Bible.
However, the Bible clearly condemns unnatural vice, both in the New and Old Testament. Here are 5 helpful quotes to keep in your debate file.
1. “Do you not know that the unjust will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor boy prostitutes nor sodomites nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
2. “For this cause God delivered them up to shameful affections. For their women have changed the natural use into that use which is against nature. And, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error” (Romans 1:26-27).

I must say this topic I struggle with at times. It’s hard to know how to help people. I think almost everyone who says they’re homosexual also say that they didn’t want to be, that that’s the way they are.. There are theories of maybe a demonic activity being involved with the person and I’m inclined to believe this and with the unflattering history of the church in regards to this issue how can it not look hypocritical?? It’s something I struggle with wondering how people can be helped and how is their fault also???

I myself am a heterosexual man. I can claim I was born this way. At this stage in my life I am married to a wonderful woman. As a man I can say I still find other women attractive other than my wife. I don’t act on my man urges as much as my hormones would want me to. In the same way a homosexual can have inclinations towards the same sex, but they don’t have to act on it. God have is a conscience and am intellect, we should use them.
As are all men and women, I am a sinner. I was born in a state of Original Sin, and although baptism washed it away, I remain a sinful person. I don’t want to be. I try not to be, but yet I sin. Similarly, a homosexual person is born into a state of Original Sin, and though it be washed away by baptism, remains sinful and in need of God’s forgiveness and grace through the sacraments. Many homosexuals have taken to saying that because they were born that way, it is natural and not to be condemned. That is wrong, for all are born in sin, and sin is to be condemned.
As Catholics we are too focus on homosexual marriage. We need to focus on pushing the line back and stop accepting homosexual activity. We have to stop accepting the whole homosexual culture.

Mark 7:21-22
21 For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery,
22 coveting, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, foolishness.
Wouldn’t the Jews considered homosexual acts licentious? If so, this would be Christ categorically speaking against it?
STEVE RAY HERE: David, you are absolutely correct. The Old Testament is full of condemnation of sin and homosexuality was right up there on the list. Jesus was a strict Jew and his condemnation of sexual sins would certainly include homosexuality, bestiality, etc.
