Update on Catholic Answers Rome Trip

There are about 90 people on the initial few days in Rome. We will have 150+ on the cruise which starts Thursday. Yesterday we visited St. Mary Major, St. Peter in Chains, St. Pressede. People were on their own for lunch and dinner but we had dinner with the Catholic Answers staff. Today we started early for a visit to the Catacombs of St. Sebastian, St. Paul outside the Walls, St. John Lateran and then the Colosseum and Roman Forum.

I gave a few talks on the bus about the Catacombs and the churches. It is funny for me since I am usually in charge and leading the group and guiding. On this trip I am a guest speaker. Takes me some getting used to 🙂

Tomorrow we visit St. Peters and the Vatican Museums. Nice being with all the great Catholic Answers folks, especially nice being with Karl Keating again (who is like an excited kid 🙂 and Jimmy Akin. Also nice to get to know the delightful and very genuine Fr. Serpa.
