Thanks a million Steve but do these questions have an answer if they turn back to ask us do you know the answer for these questions.

STEVE RAY HERE: The ones that have answers have the references for you to look up. The others, if I remember right, have no answer.

Thanks you for this, and also thank you for answering my question on Sunday before the seminar, about how to answer my friend who has left the Catholic church.

Steve, what is the catholic response, when protestants say they are covered by the blood.some say if the Egyptians put blood on their door they would have been saved and they were not believers.

STEVE RAY HERE: Brett, thanks for writing. First of all, I’m not sure how protestants can say they’re covered with the blood of Jesus says that blood was shed 2000 years ago and I’ve yet to see anybody with blood stains on their closer body. His blood was washed down the mountains of Jerusalem into the Dead Sea. It is actually the Catholics who have the motor placed every day on the alters of their church.

The whole idea of being covered in the blood is really a protestant idea. In the old testament there was a lot of splashing of blood, covering with blood, etc. But in the New Testament the blood of Christ was shed for the forgiveness of our sins and for our atonement. But she will find the New Testament writers referring to “covered with the blood“ like the protestants do today. It is really a Protestant man-made tradition.

It is total speculation on what might’ve happened in Egypt with a blood on the door post. First of all, the Egyptians did not believe and therefore refuse to put any blood on their doors. And if they had, and we think the angel of death I was so stupid that he would not If the house was owned by an Egyptian or in Israelite? And since nothing like that ever happened it’s pure speculation and nonsense to even discuss such a thing. Protestant silliness.
