We’ve corresponded and known about each other but yesterday we met at the South Carolina Men’s Conference. I love converts and his story is especially interesting, converting from an Anglican priest in England to a Catholic priest in South Carolina.

He’s finishing up a book and the Magi and we discussed plans for a pilgrimage together to the Holy Land in the next year or two.

I spoke Friday to the Women’s Conference and Saturday to the Men’s Conference. It was especially good to see what God is doing with Catholic men around the country.  Change a few good men and you can change the world. The conference took place at Prince of Peace in Greenville NC which is a marvelous church and very active parish.

Steve, do you ever rest! God bless you and Janet in your ministry. I know you love it and that is the only reason that I am not worried about your level of activity! Someone some day will count up the number of lives that you changed. Probably God.

Don’t forget, Steve, that behind all those good Catholic men are good Catholic mothers, daughters and sisters praying for them!!!

Hi Steve — I’m really happy to see the picture of you and Fr. Longenecker together and that you’ve discussed a joint pilgrimage sometime in the future. Please recall that it was me that suggested you do a Catholic England pilgrimage with Fr. L. I’m still hoping that might happen. Judy and I will be with you this October for Fatima, Compostela and Lourdes. See you then. Hi to Janet. — Rick Evans
