Luther believed in the Heresy of Soul Sleep after Death

In one of his arguements against Purgatory and Prayer for the dead and prayer to the Saints, Luther rejected an estalished doctrine of the Church concerning life after death. He adopted what the Seventh Day Adventists believe today — after death we are not conscious but are in a dreamless sleep until the final resurrection.

Most Lutherans today reject the idea, but again we see what happens when one rejects the Church and sets himself up as his own authority –"Doctor Luther has said so!" . Luther was wrong and Dave Armstrong exposes this in an article that is very interesting — as usual.
