Fr. Scott Courtney, my good friend and frequent chaplain for our pilgrimages, has a great summer camp for young men at Camp Kateri Tekakwitha in Nebraska.

They wrestle in the mud, have jousting battles, obstacle courses, ball games, and then they memorize Scripture, pray together, go to confession and have reverent holy daily Mass. This video gives a short insight into a manly experience to help boys grow into men.

Many of these boys expressed an interest in the seminary after this intense week of beautiful, authentic, manly Catholicism.

Fr. Scott loves Scripture. You should see his tattered, underlined, notated Bible! Check out the video for the 2013 Leadership Camp. I hope to send my grandsons here as soon as they are old enough. For more info, email them at LeadershipCamp@Neb.rr.com

Leadership Camp is a Catholic boy’s summer camp for Altar Servers entering 6th grade through 9th grade in the fall. The camp is 7 days, 6 nights, held at Camp Kateri Tekakwitha in McCool Junction, Nebraska. The camp is full of fun, personal growth, and spiritual development.

Campers will experience incredible daily encounters with Christ through the Sacraments. Days and nights are filled with exhilarating activities, inspiring worship, challenging and engaging talks, interactive sports, and life-changing prayer experiences. We assist boys to become self-disciplined and confident young men. Through this formation we hope to imprint within their soul a true zeal to know Christ and to embrace His plan for their lives. Our goal is to give them the confidence and strength they need to continue their faith journey and to help them foster healthy vocations.
