Where can I send money to support this heroic Christian clerk to help with her legal expenses?
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) – Two months after it legalized gay marriage nationwide, the U.S. Supreme Court is being asked by a Kentucky county clerk for permission to keep denying marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis, who objects to gay marriage for religious reasons, asked the nation’s highest court Friday to grant her “asylum for her conscience.”
The Supreme Court ruled in June that the Constitution guarantees gay people the right to marry. But Davis contends the First Amendment guarantees her the right of religious freedom.
She stopped issuing all marriage licenses in the days after the Supreme Court’s landmark decision. Two gay couples and two straight couples sued her, arguing that she must fulfill her duties as an elected official despite her personal Christian conviction. A federal judge ordered Davis to issue the licenses and an appeals court upheld that decision.
Davis’ lawyers said they filed an emergency appeal with the Supreme Court Friday, asking that they delay the mandate to issue licenses until her appeal is finished, a process that could stretch for months….

Where did you get the information that she is a Catholic? Everything I have read states that she became a Christian approx 4 years ago, specifically Apostolic Faith (the denomination). U.S. District Judge David Bunning is reportedly Catholic.
STEVE RAY HERE: good question. I read it and assumed she was Catholic. I removed the “Catholic” adjective until I find out more. Please let me know any more details that you find out.

Whatever faith, she has taken a stand. She will not win but has to be admired.
My suggestion……….Whatever decision the court take let’s not ponder too much on that part but as she had taken her stand let’s be with her in our prayer.n about whether she is catholic or not.may I take this stand that when the church was founded I meant one church in the whole world, name was-is-will CATHOLIC So every Christian falls under one big church.the difference is that individual they opposed it for the sake of thier stomach.One hail Mary is much more stronger nighter than voice of hundred people.For us Catholic rosary is our weapon n so far there is no any weapon to defeat it.
