Bishop Timothy Doherty (765-742-0275) removed Father Ted Rothrock, of Carmel, IN for posting in his bulletin the truth about the social situation today.
For Fr. Ted’s comments, he was forced to apologize and even then still removed from ministry.

When I was in the Air Force, we said that there were two kinds of generals: Political Generals(and there are way too many of those) and Warrior Generals(way too few of those). It would seem that those terms can be applied to bishops, as well. Pray that the Holy Spirits injects some steel into Bishop Doherty’s spine.
I tried to call and leave a message but the mailbox was full.
It is so sad that spineless bishops remove good and caring priests who speak the truth from their parishes.
Yet, they do not react that quickly (or at all) to the evil priests who have done horrendous things to our children or others under their authority.
I am afraid for the souls of these bishops who have left the values and teachings of Christ behind and have fallen victim to the EVIL one.
They are indeed calling good evil and evil good. We must pray for their souls but must also stand against them and support our good and loving priests.
I was a student at Purdue in the late 1980’s, and Father Rothrock was a priest at the university parish: Saint Thomas Aquinas. I have known a lot of priests in my lifetime, and very few of them are as good as Father Rothrock. It is great to see that he is still around to tell the truth, even if his bishop cannot handle it. Undoubtedly, God will richly reward Father for his many years of service.
I called and left a message for the Bishop. Sad that we cannot have Priests explain truth.
I also left a message for Bishop Doherty. Shame on the Bishop. Maybe political opinion should be largely limited from the pulpit. The abortion issue is considered political by politicians, but it should not be. The Catholic Church is right to speak out forcefully against it. In the same way, BLM and Antifa are anarchist movements which masquerading as political. The Catholic Church should speak out loudly and clearly against the evil they are projecting on our country. Shame on Bishop Doherty.
I left an email message. I get so upset when this happens and the Bishops cave to the cancel culture. We need to always speak the truth as Catholics and stick by it. The truth is the only thing that matters in these times — the truth of Jesus Christ. We are not being "loving" by caving to the culture and supporting an anti-Catholic and Marxist organization which goes against everything we believe as Catholics. May God have mercy on Bishop Doherty's soul.

I live in California but I am originally from near Indianapolis. Even here in the radical culture of California,, we haven’t had anything so brazen as this move by the Bishop. The priest did nothing wrong, he just voiced what everyone who isn’t glued to the liberal media knows. When they come for the good Bishop, who’s going to support him after his capitulation to anti-Christian rhetoric? Does he think his flock will defend him? Disgraceful! The Lord rebuke you, Satan!
With a shortage of priests, and an even greater shortage of good priests (e.g. ones who aren’t out there promoting homosexuality), the bishop decides to remove this one because of not being politically correct?
Perhaps a better bishop will ask that Father Rothrock be incardinated to his diocese.
