About a week ago we announced that Janet was about four weeks pregnant. The doctors confirmed it and we all rejoiced. It took a few days for us old folks with four grown kids and four grandchildren to adjust to the idea of a having a new baby ourselves in our old age . . .
. . . but we were very excited about having a new baby — maybe a son who might become a priest!
So, we place ourselves and the new life in her womb in the hands of God. We are at peace knowing that “all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose†(Rom 8:28). We cannot fathom the depth and knowledge and wisdom of God.
So, we wait and pray and trust Him. We will visit the doctor on Monday to see what she has to say. In the meantime, Janet will stay in bed and I will attend to her and pray. Please keep us in your prayers as we place ourselves and our family in the loving hands of Our Lord.
Since in appears we have lost our newest child, through a miscarriage (we’ll find out for sure on Monday), we take all the more pleasure in our four grandchildren (with one on the way):

My son Jesse and his wife Anna’s two kids. They live 20 minutes away and Jesse is stepping in to help manage my company.
