Steve, I hate to say it, but this election result, in large part, is due to the terrible leadership of the Catholic Church. Never thought I would think this of our bishops, but they are the great enablers. May God have mercy on us.

Steve, me and my wife tell friends and family that the Democrats support abortion and are destroying marriage through same sex marriage and that is against Church teaching. We are told we are wrong and that the bishops are actually supporting the Democrats so nothing is wrong. Very frustrating.

God has richly blessed our country but we have continued to squander His blessings to point where the United States is now in a death spiral that is picking up speed. God's judgment? Perhaps. How much longer can He tolerate the murder of more than 61 million babies in their mother's womb? Or tolerate so-called "same sex-marriage"? Or the massive corruption of most of our institutions, including government? We know from the Old Testament what God did to those nations that practiced child sacrifice. The only answer is for our nation to repent and, baring the Holy Spirit convicting us of our sins, repentance does not seem likely.
