US bishops reemphasize opposition to ‘profoundly flawed’ health care law
As President Barack Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act into law on March 23, the bishops of the United States issued a statement reemphasizing their opposition to the “profoundly flawed” legislation despite “whatever good this law achieves or intends.”

Bishop Robert Morlino of Madison, Wisconsin, has taken to task the leaders of the Catholic Health Association and the liberal lobby Network for their outspoken support of President Obama’s heath-care reform bill.
