Tomorrow we leave for the middle of no where – way out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. This little island is 1,300 miles east of the Philippines and 4,000 miles west of Hawaii.

Besides a few tiny scattered islands there is nothing out there. It has 160,000 people, of which 120,000 are Catholics. Do you know the name of the island yet?

Yup, it is Guam! And they are under assault by the cults and sects swarming onto the island.

Archbishop Apuron has invited Janet and me to the island to help explain and defend the Catholic faith. There are a number of radio interviews planned, conferences for the priests, general public and even for the schools. I will share my conversion story and discuss many things, especially Mary and Peter and why we believe what we believe –  why we know what we know.

So, tomorrow we hop on a plane for a 13 hour direct flight from Detroit to Tokyo — grueling. After a 24 hour layover in Tokyo, we take another 4-5 hour flight to the middle of no where, er, I mean to the tiny island of Guam in the middle of the huge Pacific Ocean.

At the longest point this island is only 30 miles long and at its widest it is only 8 miles across. After living my life in the vast expanses of farmland in Michigan, I might get claustrophobic! They are providing us with a car so we can explore the island during a free day or two.

I will try to keep up with blog while on Guam and give a short journal of our apologetics efforts along with some pictures. Keep us and the Guamarians in your prayers. Long live the Pope; long live the Church!
