Steve Ray here. Today is Day One of the Catholic Way Bible Study Holy Land pilgrimage hosted by Lavinia Spirito and led by Steve & Janet Ray. Everyone arrived safe and sound – albeit a bit tired from flying for 12 hours over the Atlantic. We boarded the bus and headed first to Caesarea by the Sea where Peter baptized the first gentile into the Church — Cornelius the Roman Centurion. It was here that Paul was imprisoned for two years before being taken to Rome.
We then had lunch and went to Cana of Galilee for Mass and renewal of wedding vows. This is always a very special time. We arrived at our hotel on the Sea of Galilee before dark in time for some coffee before dinner. Then everyone headed to bed. Tomorrow we leave at 7:30 for Mount Tabor (Transiguration) and Nazareth. Everyone is fine and in great spirits.
I am having trouble with the video portion of the YouTube production. I had harddrive trouble before leaving and I'm still feeling its effects. I hope to have it fixed soon, but in the meantime, enjoy the movie comprised of still shots.
