Today was very intensive following the ministry of Jesus Christ. We started at Gethsemane for a very emotional Mass at the rock where He sweat drops of blood (homily here). We saw olive trees over 2000 years old that were there when Jesus was in his agony. We went to the top of the Mount of Olives and celebrated the place where he taught his type disciples to pray the Our Father and where he ascended into heaven.
Lunch at a Jewish kibbutz and then to Mount Zion where we visited the Abby of the Dormition of Mary where she fell asleep before being assumed into Heaven. The Upper Room is always an amazing place because four Sacraments originated from that room. St. Peter in Gallicantu where Jesus was kept in prison over Holy Thursday night before being taken to Pilate on Friday. Back to the hotel for some free time and dinner.
