Today we say goodbye to Warsaw as we travel south to Czestochowa where we had Mass (homily here) and where we saw the famous “Black Madonna“.
We had lunch and walked around the grounds a bit before boarding the bus again and heading further south to the border between Poland and Slovakia into the mountains of Zakopane. This is where St. John Paul II would spend his vacations, go skiing, camping and hiking. We have a beautiful hotel and are all settled in for the night.
