Israel Day 4: Capernaum, Boat Ride, St. Peter Fish, Visitation, Arrival in Jerusalem

Our final day in Galilee and we had Mass at Capernaum where Jesus said “Eat My Flesh and Drink My Blood.” Fr. Gavin’s homily here. I also gave an abbreviated version of my talk “Defending the Eucharist.”

Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and viewing 2,000 year old “Jesus Boat.” Would you like  eating St. Peters Fish like Jesus and the apostles did? Then a 2 hour drive south to Jerusalem with a stop for toilets and ice cream. I gave my conversion story on the bus along the way and we arrived at the Church of Visitation where I gave my talk on Defending the Doctrines of Mary. I reminded everyone that Mary had to walk 100 miles to visit her relatives.

We arrived at the Notre Dame Center in Jerusalem which is only a 10 minute walk to the Holy Sepulcher. Everyone settled in comfortably for the night.
