It would have been good if he was white, but it was even better that he is an incredibly articulate, humorous and courageous black man. He has an incredible story – starting out in poverty with a mother who was married at 13 years old. As a single mother she raised him with a strong hand emphasizing a love of God, education and morality. Now he is a leading neuro-surgeon. A movie was made about his life which is very worth watching.
President Obama was at the prayer breakfast when Dr. Carson gave his rousing speech. It was obvious from the get-go that Obama would rather have been anywhere else but up at the presenter’s table. He was nervous, uncomfortable and angry as Dr. Carson with great humor, honesty and commonsense took Obama and his policies to task.
