Get out of the House; Go on a Local Pilgrimage; St. Augustine Florida!!

by Steve Ray on April 8, 2021

People are ready to get out of the house. Go to a warm state that is open to tourists. Florida is warm and inviting.

Join us in St. Augustine Florida where Catholicism first came to America. Enjoy the history, the spirituality, the fellowship — and swimming in the ocean!

Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life will join us for Mass and dinner and a talk. Be inspired. Br. Kevin Peek will be our spiritual director.

Have a great pilgrimage, enjoy the sun, learn about the history of the Catholic Church in America, renew baptisms where the first Catholics were baptized and enjoy good food, hotels, fun and fellowship.

Dear Steve and Janet,

We went to the Holy Land with you with the Legatus group September 2019. So happy you will be in our “backyard”! I’m working on the campaign at the Shrine. We will have outdoor Stations and Rosary Garden installed, hopefully finished in the summer. The Historic Church will be closed May 1 for much needed updating, electrical, AC, but the best will be a new statue because we will be having a Canonical Coronation on October 10. This will only be the 4th one in the USA. Pope Francis has asked for this to be done, the Cardinal from Madrid will be here, as that’s where the first statue came from. We will be after to have Marian Processions!

STEVE RAY HERE: Wow! Thanks for writing. And thanks for trusting us to take you to The Holy Land. Looking forward to coming to Saint Augustine and hope we get to see you there. It’ll be nice to get out of cold Michigan and come down to some warm for a change.

I encourage everyone to make this trip. You will discover a true jewel right here in the USA! Very peaceful, and very sacred. There’s so much to learn, you will love it!
