Day 3: Primacy of Peter, Caesarea Philippi, Druze Lunch, Syrian Border, Kurdish & Magdelena

by Steve Ray on January 1, 2019

Great day, beautiful weather! Mass on the shore of Galilee with waves splashing at Primacy of Peter. Excellent homily here.

North to Lebanese border to visit Banias — biblical Caesarea Philippi — where Steve gave his talk “Peter: the Rock, Keys & Chair.”

Continued further into Golan Heights to Druze restaurant for a unique lunch experience before stopping at the Syrian border to look and see and discuss the politically-incorrect version of the Middle East situation.

Kursi where Jesus cast the demons into 2,000 pigs before two hours free time to swim in the Sea of Galilee and rest before our gourmet dinner at Magdelena. Enjoy!

Whenever I read about one of your Holy Land trips, I remember our time with you in September. Brian and I cannot get it out of our minds. The dinner at the Magdalena restaurant was fantastic and to realize that we were where Jesus lived and preached is still thrilling to us.
We always thought we would visit the Holy Land only once in our lifetime, but now we want to return. I am a travel agent and have access to many pilgrimages, but will only go with you. No other can compare. Thank you, Steve for one of the best experiences of our lives. Happy New Year!
