Ireland Day 8: Grand Finale!

by Steve Ray on October 7, 2014

Our last day was happy and sad. It’s always sorrowful to say goodbye to all her new friends and new friends they are.

We started out today going to Trinity College in Dublin. The main attraction here is the Book of Kells. These glorious illustrated Gospels were written and designed over 1000 years ago which is stunning in and of itself, but to see the intricate artwork and the love for our Lord Jesus in the Gospels is inspiring and incredible to see.

We also went through one of the largest libraries in the world which has books going back to the 1400s.

The afternoon was free and people scattered all over Dublin to enjoy pubs, museums, shopping, exquisite churches and much more.

Then we had the grand finale at the Mary Plowboy Pub where we all enjoyed a scrumptious meal and heard some of the best Irish music and saw some of the best Irish dancing, just like Riverdance.

Everybody it’s up in the morning and heads back home after a great pilgrimage.

Join us on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, to see the Shroud of Turin, our St. Paul cruise and much more. Visit www.footprintsofGod.com.
