This raises some questions. Dear protestants: Why are the apostles’ remains inside Catholic Churches?
Dear athiests: Would the apostles have gone to their deaths for a lie or a fantasy?
I thought St. Bartholomew was skinned alive, which is why he is typically pictured holding pieces of his own skin…
And I thought James the Less was clubbed to death. And that Simon was sawed into pieces (which is why he is typically shown with a saw). And that Jude (Thaddeus) was beaten to death and then beheaded…
I’m afraid this chart gave me more questions than answers! :)
