Prayers for Dying Catholic Apologist in Milan Italy

by Steve Ray on June 4, 2012

An American living in Milan Italy wrote today asking for my assistance and of Catholic who will help pray for a worthy workman in the field.

“I am writing to you because a friend of mine in my parish (the Duomo of Monza), Prof. Mario Palmaro, one of Italy’s most active lay Catholic apologists (especially against secular relativism), was just diagnosed with an unexpected and massive colon tumor that has spread to his liver.

“He apparently does not have much hope of recovery, even though chemotherapy was started this week.  Mario is 44 years old, and has a wife and four wonderful children who depend on him. It is a truly dramatic situation as his wife does not work- she has dedicated her life to caring for the children and is active in Catholic outreach and catechesis efforts here in the Milan Archdiocese.”

Please pray for Professor Mario Palmaro!

hail Mary said. so, one of my old crew sent me an article about lemons being 10k times more effective than chemo… that is the whole thing… eat the peel. I tried it, and its not that bad. I do hope this is true and is a wise home remedy. I am sure that we would all try anything.

Actually, Mario’s family has asked their friends and colleagues to say a novena to Saint Therese of Lisieux’s parents (apparently they need one more recognized miracle to be canonized):

Novena Prayer to obtain graces through the intercession of Beatified Louis and Zelie Martin and for their eventual canonization
Lord our Father, I thank You for having given us the gift of the lives of Louis Martin and Zelie Guérin, who in the unity and faithfulness of holy matrimony have given us witness to exemplary Christian lives, carrying out their daily duties in the spirit of the Gospel.
Bringing up a numerous family, through all the trials and setbacks, the deaths of four children and all the sufferings, they always showed their great trust in You and generously followed Your will for them.
Dear Lord, please let us know your plans for Louis and Zelie, and give me the grace that I ask of You [that Prof. Mario Palmaro be completely cured of the cancer that afflicts him, so that he may continue to serve as husband, father, professor, writer and apologist for the faith], in the hope that the mother and father of Saint Theresa of Lisieux may one day be recognized by the Church as saints and offered as model witnesses of the faith to families here in our times. Amen.

I will pray the novena for this man and his family.
May God bless them all.

God bless you, true belief will always be rewarded when you arrive in heaven, dying is a thing we have to witness.
