The Bible on Politics :-)

by Steve Ray on March 24, 2012

Read this with a smile on your face – a bit of political humor:

“A wise man’s heart inclines him toward the right, but a fool’s heart toward the left” (Ecclesiastes 10:2).

I noticed that the NAB has a footnote about that verse: “1 [2] It is doubtful whether the author is endorsing either direction; cf Proverb 4:25-27.”

*rolls eyes*

Ignatius Press RSV Second Catholic Edition has no such footnote :)

…I’m making it serious the Catechism of the Catholic Church says scandal (an attitude or behavior that leads another to do evil) is a grave sin when it purposely leads another to do a grave offense. (CCC 2284)
CCC 2286 includes that scandal can be caused by laws…..making abortions easily available to everyone by law is scandal.
At the very least we should not stop electing politicians who we know will make laws forcing my tax money to go towards killing genetically unique homo sapiens living in a womb.

[Matthew Chapter 18 public domain douay-rheims bible] [8] And if thy hand, or thy foot scandalize thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee. It is better for thee to go into life maimed or lame, than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into everlasting fire. [9] And if thy eye scandalize thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee. It is better for thee having one eye to enter into life, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

Mark 9:42
And if thy hand scandalize thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life, maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into unquenchable fire:

Don’t vote for people on the left who want everyone to be able to kill children (abortion)!
