Covington Kentucky’ Bishop Foys stops hand holding at the Our Father. Wish all bishops would correct this aberration. Read more HERE.
No Hand-holding in this Diocese. Thank you!

Hi, I’m curious because here in the Philippines families hold each others hand during the Our Father and we have been doing it for as long as any of us can remember. Thus, have we been in the wrong?
STEVE RAY HERE: IN SOME PARISHES IN AMERICA EVERYONE HOLDS HANDS, EVEN STEPPING INTO THE ISLES TO HOLD HANDS WITH PEOPLE ON THE OTHER SIDE. I HAVE BEEN TO THE PHILIPPINES 5 TIMES AND I DON’T REMEMBER EVER BEING IN A CHURCH WHERE PEOPLE ALL DID THIS. ARE YOU SAYING JUST YOUR FAMILY HOLDS HANDS? I DON’T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT, THOUGH WE DO NOT DO IT.
I mean seprate families holding hands not everyone to each other. Thank you for the clarification.
