Here are the questions I answered on Catholic Answers Live tonight. Here is a link to the archived show to the archived show http://www.catholic.com/audio/2010/real/ca100920b.ram For other listening options, click here.

– How do you get the Trinity out of Mark 12:32 which says, “And the scribe said to him, “You are right, Teacher; you have truly said that [God] is one, and there is no other but he”?
– Can you explain how indulgences work and how Catholics understand Purgatory?
– After talking about eating his flesh, what does Jesus mean in John 6 when he says, “the flesh profits nothing”?
– In the Old Testament it says males are circumcized but not females. What happened to the females?
– What part of the Waldensians did the Catholic Church consider heretical? How were they like and dislike the Franciscans?
– I want to be confirmed and come into the Catholic Church. Does my wife have to have to come with me and have our marriage blessed for me to be a Catholic?
– How do Catholics explain their view of saints in heaven when the Bible refers to saints here on earth?
– Why is the Catholic Church full of man made rituals?

in John 6 ” the bread i will give is my flesh ………….this is the bread . that word Flesh in Greek has a meaning of the ‘whole person’ and not carnal like interpretation and when translated from the original Greek from the original Aramaic can loose meaning as cultures and centuries of time can create nuance and meaning not in the original. how would you explain that ‘ my flesh’ and the eating and drinking in the dialogue is actually the Bread when the dialogue started. any insight would be appreciated .
