Will We Meet the Pope in Israel?

by Steve Ray on February 11, 2009

The news is solidifying — the Pope plans to visit the Holy Land in May 2009. I will be there with two separate groups during May, one an open pilgrimage (seats still open) and another leading Dr. Scott Hahn and his group (filled with waiting list).

We are watching the pope’s plans very carefully to see if we can’t join him for a Mass or get to meet him along the way. More later. Now would be a good time to sign up for the last open seats in May.

Plans taking shape for Pope’s May visit to Holy Land
During his May visit to Israel and Palestine, Pope Benedict XVI will visit Bethlehem and Nazareth, the Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem, and a mosque in Jordan, according to journalist Andrea Tornielli of Il Giornale. The respected Vatican-watcher said that the possible outbreak of violence in the region could still endanger plans for the papal trip. The Vatican has not yet confirmed the plans.

Now that Congress Passed a Socialist Bailout Bill …

by Steve Ray on February 11, 2009

jefferson… I thought you’d find these quotes most interesting.

In 1944 Norman Thomas, who ran for President 5 or 6 times on the Socialist platform said the following … sound familiar?
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of “liberalism,” they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” He went on to say: “I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democrat Party has adopted our platform.”

Thomas Jefferson said: “When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.” He also said, “The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.” Jefferson also said, “It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.”

And finally, a very interesting quote from Thomas Jefferson in 1802: “I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.”

Exorcist says Abortion Influenced by the Devil

by Steve Ray on February 11, 2009

An exorcist authorized to perform exorcisms in several dioceses spoke at a religious ministry luncheon on Sunday, explaining the basics of exorcism and its connection with abortion.

Fr. Thomas Euteneuer, president of Human Life International and an exorcist, spoke at a luncheon hosted by In His Sign Network (IHS). He is an exorcist authorized to perform exorcisms in several states, and highlighted the connection between the abortion industry and demonic influence.

“Abortion is a demonic industry,” he told The Bulletin. “Abortion is blood sacrifice of innocent blood to the devil. The clinics are like temples, the doctors are like priests, the medical table is like their altar. It’s a ritualized sacrifice. They have a dogma called choice, a hierarchy called Planned Parenthood, and guardian angels in the form of police guards that will arrest you if you try to stop them.”

He said that there have been abortionists who have called abortion “their sacrament.” Fr. Euteneuer advocates prayer as a necessary step to successfully fighting abortion.
