US Bishops Want to Meet with Candidates

Bishops seek meeting with Obama, McCain before Nov. 4

America’s Catholic bishops have a few thoughts on politics, and this year they want to share them directly with the candidates. For the first time in recent memory, leaders of the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops have invited the two presidential candidates to meet with them before the election. Read more.

Like either one of them gives a rats rear end what the bishops think.

The Church has lost Her influence in the world. She may be the Barque of St. Peter and no one is saved outside of Her, but as far as the worldlings go, She can go pound sand.

Unless, of course, She promises a large bloc of votes to one or the other!!!

Let’s face it. Politicians have realized that claiming to be Christian gains them votes with “evangelicals” as the media puts it. It’s more of a political move than a Faith based admission.
