Evangelical J. P. Moreland takes off the gloves in his criticism of modern Evangelicals and Fundamentalists who hold to the strict Bible-only position.

The title of his talk was “How Evangelicals Became Over-Committed to the Bible and What Can Be Done About It.” This is a VERY interesting read and I am glad Evangelicals are finally facing up to this huge problem of "Bible-only."

Glad I'm a Catholic!! I can't wait to get a copy of the whole lecture.

Catholic Scripture Study Pilgrimage — Day 1 Arrival

by Steve Ray on November 15, 2007

Video of Day One has been moved to my Pilgrimage site — Click here.

Long day. Everyone is here safely, well-fed, and off to bed. We had two Masses: one for the group on the Lufthansa plane which arrived on time and one for the group on the British Air plane which arrived two hours late. Janet and I took the first group on Bus 1 up to Galilee, while our Israeli guide escorted Bus 2 up after they all arrived. Everyone is in good spirits, excited and ready to go.

We arrived in Galilee after dark and some of the video clips I took did not work — sorry. I will fix the problem by tomorrow. Stay tuned tomorrow to watch the pilgrims at the Mount of Transfiguration (Lk 9), renewing wedding vows in Cana of Galilee (Jn 2), and celebrating Mass in Nazareth at the Grotto of the Annunciation (Lk 1). Three Mysteries of the Rosary will be prayed tomorrow — on location!

The Planes have Landed!

by Steve Ray on November 15, 2007

The Luthansa group are on Bus 1 and already approaching Galilee. The British Air flight was delayed two hours in London but has now landed. Those pilgrims are being gathered on Bus 2. All those who booked their own flights are also accounted for. All is well. More soon.
